Be Grateful Challenge~ January 2013

11th~ sweet boy; fresh, hot coffee; rain re rinsing my laundry on the line out back; cuddling Caleigh Ann; long chat with a good friend; like minded people; cleaning my office suite (who let dirty little gremlins in here?!); leftovers for lunch; the care He provides and the surprising ways He does it; short chat with a good friend while waiting for Matt's bus; thinking about 'loving a man unconditionally' and wondering who that Word from God referred to (time to PUSH!); deep cleaning at work; chat with Matt about possibilities for our future and cooperation required; sweet Aiden begging to see his 'Gamma'; quick road trip with a friend; overnight at work with Matt; long, hot baths; catching up on paperwork; peaceful night       
12th~ early drive out Brigg St to deliver an Avon order and how pretty the sky was; having such a sweet, sleepy son; appointment to get some of the Jeep repairs done; creative meals at work 
13th~ day of rest at home to recover from stomach bug (flu?); Matt's pre-teen antics; getting all the coupons cut and some put away; a patient boy when mama doesn't feel well; heading to work to spend the night at the last minute; hanging with Matt for an overnight at work (my 'little' party-animal!)
14th~ hanging with Matt all day at work; having a coffee maker in my office again (didn't realize how much I missed it); teaching Matt to cook breakfast bake; having a fairly clean office; Jeep at Aleet Auto being repaired (thank you, my friend!); Boy Scout Troop 50
15th~ driving Matt to school; Miss Judy @ SEALS in Romeoville; knowing Matt is at a great school with caring teachers knowledgeable of his needs; visit from a boss; chat with a customer/ friend; initial investigation to change out an old light fixture; Snap Circuits program at library with Matt; coupon savings at CVS; bowl of ice cream with Matt while watching HGTV
16th~ Matt catching the bus; doing early morning laundry; light frost on the homestead; peaceful drive to work (don't remember it, so I must be sleep-deprived again); apple crumble muffin; fresh, hot coffee; missing sweet Aiden so much; church tonight and small group fun and learning; a quick dinner of kielbasa sandwiches, then snuggling off to sleep
17th~ sleepy, snuggly morning; my son; Matt catching the school bus; sweet chat with snuggle-butt Caleigh; visit from friends; hugs from sweet Aiden; lunch from Dan; the new perspective He gives me daily; payments for Avon products from customers to deposit so I can pay Avon; Boys and Girls club; Avon Leadership meeting and new insight; having Matt for my son
18th~ snuggly, sleeping in morning; Matt being super cooperative; school bus honking as it pulled up :) ; early to work~ getting to be a 'thing' finally; fresh, hot coffee; snuggling Caleigh to sleep while she cuddles close; just doing my job; way toaster oven warms my office; fresh breeze and lonesome howl of the wind; sweet Avon customers (you know, their smiles keep me going sometimes!); Aiden's smile; Avon orders~ and starting over; Matt happily loading the Jeep with firewood; anticipation of a fun evening; plans for weekend ahead; getting Avon brochures to my customers (gotta get back on track) 
19th~ anticipation of geocaching at Messenger Woods with Lockport Troop 50; waking up at work (why is this suddenly so much fun?); fresh, hot coffee; hanging with a lot of really kool people at Messenger Woods; thoughts of the future; sack lunch eaten around a campfire; nice short winter hike; a bit of work at work; nice evening at home with an amazing son
20th~ sleeping in; snuggle-butt; church and all the blessings it brings;  meeting new people and finding similar acquaintances; fun firewood search with Matt; Matt and I learning how to change out a light fixture and his love of anything electrical;  getting seven bundles of Avon brochures ready to hand out; knitting Aiden's ball while Matt plays Lego's
21st~ sleeping in a bit; sweet, silly boy; driving around to check properties and text pics; George Werden Buck Boys and Girls Club; Matt looking up to counselors at Boys and Girls club; Caleigh Ann's sweet smile and sense of humor; listening to Caleigh's thoughts on my weekend; fresh, hot coffee; cleaning and organization; new resolve;
22nd~ the most amazing son in the world; fresh, hot coffee; having a job; how much BEING AN AVON REPRESENTATIVE TOTALLY ROCKS!!!;  saving 45% on Kleenex at Walgreen's (shopping for work); that sometimes disasters really are just little things; having a home; my new furnace; Matt being responsible; Avon meeting and the motivation it brings
23rd~ Capt. Snuggle-butt; driving Matt to school and the interesting chat and antics from back seat (I totally value that time!); dropping off Avon brochures at Matt's school; fresh, hot coffee in my office; my salvation; watching my daughter learning to comfort colicky Caleigh; how people unwittingly reveal their true character (and how grateful I am for that); WBGL playing on my laptop at work and the way His music keeps me focused on His goals for my life 0:)  ;  running out of Avon brochures to pass out before 11:00am; knowing His plan is rock-solid; Jose A. Sims getting fifteen (15) years to life for murdering my brother; my Mom; that one guy I have such allegiance to; helping Jessie fix his phone issues; 'One Night' at church and all I learn there; making new friends slowly; Avon orders bagged and ready for delivery
24th~ snuggling with Matt (glad he's growing up slowly); bus driver coming back for Matt (almost missed that ride!); gas for $3.36/ gallon; getting to work early; fresh, hot coffee; oatmeal with cranberry sauce mixed in~ Yum!!!; snuggling Caleigh Ann; Candace helping me with my earrings;  
25th~ Matt catching the bus; the almost good-bye kiss from Matt; fresh, hot coffee; insight; knowing His way is best; watching as He removes what/ who is not okay for me and adds/ shows me what/ who is; dropping off Lori's Avon order; quick catch-up at home
26th~ listening to Matt snore as I woke up; smoke detector chirping; fresh, hot coffee; being early to work again; oatmeal with Matt; doing payroll (it builds patience); true friends; learning to just be quiet (listening better to what I'm really saying); listening to His voice; sweet phone call and visit from my sweetie bringing me an ice scraper )as mine broke and an ice storm is coming!);  His answers to my prayers; bits of cleaning and re-organizing around the homestead; all Matt's help 
27th~ sleeping in a bit; giving Willie Mae a ride to church; helping with hostess duties at church; rock solid sermon; text inviting Matt and I to lunch at Golden Coral; lunch with a friend and finally meeting a new friend face-to-face; sharing info/ knowledge; seeing a possibility first hand; realizing just where I stand w/ a friend 
28th~ cooperative, patient, loving son; no ice on drive and streets; fresh, hot coffee; nice chat with Caleigh; blog ideas; making more coffee; realizing (again) this situation is a true blessing; revamping homestead organization; Red and Green Banquet for Troop 50; more catching up at home; finally pulling it all together (starting to) for taxes; long hot bath; falling asleep in tub while holding phone and Not dropping it in the water; prepping Avon brochures; knitting a bit on Aiden's ball
29th~ super smooth hurried morning feeling not hurried at all; such a good, sweet son; peaceful, uneventful drive to work; over 1/2 hour early to work (yes, I have issues!!!); longing to get home and continue working on current homesteading project (I will blog it when done); most of it not really being my problem; having a friend to chat with; road trip for work; evening of rest and a sweet boy willing to do some dishes and pick up his room a bit; resolve to be treated well; text from a friend 
30th~ getting out of bed before Matt's bus arrived (yeah, we were sleepy-heads!); dropping off  Avon brochures requested (and the blessing of the request); Caleigh Ann's sweet smile and chatter; fresh, hot coffee; cleaning my coffee pot @ work (need to buy bleach for our apartment); Amy; Jessie insisting eggs are always grey or green once cooked (he's so fuzzy!); making a second pot of coffee (need to bring more coffee to work and watch for coffee sales and coupons!); chat with a friend; PBJ cinnamon butter and home canned jam; how dust from main office remodel has invaded my office causing me to wipe everything down (seeing a Deep Cleaning/ re-arranging coming SOON);   
31st~ a new month ahead

    1. Thank you! I amtrying to go beyond being thankful for the little things to being intentionally thankful for the inconveniences. That is harder, but He uses all those little things that get under my skin to help me to grow/ grow up already! LOL
