Not Cutting My Hair~ 2 Years Later!

Well, folks, as of Novemver 27, 2013, it has been two (2) years since I last cut my hair!
It has been a good journey so far. A lot of growth. A lot of dealing with people who have a real problem with me doing this. Amazingly, most of the negative comments have come from church people~ some to my face and some within earshot. None helpful.
There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding of the Bible in this small world I live in. It just simply is not okay to gety saved then do whatever we want. We must get saved then study the Word to learn how He wants us to live.

2nd Great Depression~ Laundry

Current economy got you in a pinch?
Laundry getting expensive to keep clean?
Just hang it on hangers in your doorways!
It will be dry before you know it and will add much needed humididty to your home!

Laundry detergent either outrageuosly priced or doesn't get your clothing clean?
Make your own!
I made this batch in about five (5) minutes.
Ingredients?
3 cups baking soda (2 big boxes)
3/4 cup borax
1/2 cup bar soap, shredded
For soap I prefer Pink Zote, but use up slivers of hand soap before breaking out my Zote (pinching pennies!). I shred it with a grater made for turning cabbage into slaw.
I use one (1) plastic spoonful for each load of laundry.
This recipe will cost you pennies on the dollar compared to your favorite name brand.
*careful not to shred fingers*

2nd Great Depression~ Laundry

Is your gas or electric bill a bit high? Maybe you need to consider installing a clothesline out back. Or, you could hang your laundry on hangers from door frames and the shower rod!
Pushing our electric dryer to the curb and not replacing it cut our electric bill by over $30.00/ month! Money that could slide over to pay another bill!!!

Me~ Day 57

A long day is almost over...
Grateful for what God has given me...
Trying to hold it all together...
Needing to go forward, in a big way, for Him!

An evening of contemplating change...
I'm thinking major and minor changes are in order here...
I'm seeing that I need to look way outside the box to find what I truly need...
