Could you have known who he would be?
Snuggles and kisses at eight years old,
But still wetting and pooping his pants?
Very gifted with excellent grades,
But has trouble making and keeping friends?
Did you know you could love him this much,
And that loving him would break your heart?
That your son was a good candidate for prison time,
Or that you would give up all your time to prevent it?
That he would call you names and try to hit you,
And you'd just be grateful to cuddle up and say prayers?
You saw in your baby's eyes he was special,
But did you know he'd mean this much to you?
