Do you remember halloween in the 70's?
Remember running from house to house?
And we left our parents home! It was safe back then and they never could have kept up!
Here we are in a more advanced, enlightened world and it's no longer safe.
This year we are hearing about methanphetamine-laced candy! What is wrong with people? Our kids can't be kids.
Maybe we need to end the trick-or-treating and have more parties. At the police stations, fire stations, schools, churches, etc?
Any suggestions?!
I hate to give into the darkness by ending trick or treating! While most of the Hallowe'en scare stories turn out to hoaxes, I raised a son, so I know that's cold comfort. Still, I vote for standing vigilantly against the dying of the light.
