Is Work Ethic Gone?

As I went through my day today I wondered if there is any reward for a strong work ethic today? As I did my required duties and enjoyed listening to tenants chatting it seriously occurred to me that hard work and honesty no longer seem important to society.
And when I arrived home and began to pull weeds the calm of home took over.
Somehow
Somewhere
I know that being honest and hardworking will pay off...
Someday
Somehow
there will be a reward.
