As I watch this play out I want to share my perspective:
1) Illinois will become even more dangerous for drivers as this legalization will undoubtedly spur an increase in the number of people who are high behind the wheel. (Could we possibly have more people who use the turn signal Opposite the direction they are turning!??!! And more stoners driving in ice and snow . . )
2) This will provide a unique depopulation option. As more and more people walk/drive/work totally stoned (but with only a small amount of weed in their pocket) they will be killed off by their own poor judgements.
And then there is the fact that weed is often not pure weed but is laced with other drugs ~ so the government is, in effect, legalizing all drugs in small quantities!!
All I can do is sit here and shake my head at the 'thought process' that went into this legislation.
