| Good morning! Hope yours is blessed!! What does your day hold today? I'm at work taking it one minute at a time... And I'm mentally off in my 'retirement' and planning what that should look like. I wonder~ a small variety store? Home bakery? Hobby farm? Handful of rental properties (cottages for seniors, handicapped and veterans)? Coffee shop? What would be best for me? And I'm making special mental note of where my mind wanders as that's a strong clue as to where my heart is... What's your 'retirement' plan? |

| The longing to take Matt and run away for a night at a Comfort Inn gets more overwhelming every day! What is it about a night at a nice hotel that can be so very rejuvenating?? And, as I smell keilbasa simmering in caramel chilli butter down the hall, I am comfy, warm and anticipating a nice home cooked meal. Home is nice... Home is safe... Home is good... Still, a break would mean so much right now... |

| As I sit quietly knitting so Matt can have extra time at Boys and Girls Club I find myself wondering... does anyone out there know how long it takes a figurative house of cards to finally fall? I mean, I sit back in amazement at the size of this particular house of cards and all that was invested in it's building. Can these situations really go on virtually forever? And yet, I know deep in my heart, that eventually it will all fall. Everything we do comes back (is it ten-fold or seven-fold?) on us. And so this house of cards will eventually collapse and many lives will be impacted. And change will come. Things will get better for those who follow Him. And the builders of the house of cards? Well, we reap what we sew. |

| Tonight my Bible opened to Ezekiel 40 and my eyes fell on verse 5. I read until verse 10, went back to verse 1, read to verse 5 then on to verse 18. I believe this chapter of Ezekiel is the answer to my question and have bookmarked it so I can refer back. |

| Hi! Welcome back to our humble homestead! Look what I found in the family room when I went in to hang laundry!! How cool is this?? Didn't I just cover the vines with dirt last week? I can tell you the rate of growth amazes me. I'm seriously wishing I had bigger pots. I think I will shop around for 3-4 huge pots to grow my own potatoes all next winter. I can say this is seriously fun and super easy! Why have I not tried this before?? I'm just sitting here shaking my head that this is my first attempt at the luxury of home grown mashed portatoes!!! What foods are you growing in pots at home? Any successes you'd like to share? |
