My Pedometer App ~ thinking ahead . . .

I walked 3,006 steps so far . .
Two hours on the clock and getting a bit of exercise in!
I wanted to share my thoughts . .
I've been thinking ahead . . .
I need a solid plan B . . .
You know, that plan for if the bottom falls out of your life!
If there were a sudden disaster, death, or the place you work (or live) were sold, what would you do?
I always have a myriad of ideas running through my head as well as some fairly solid plans . . . plans can be fun, like all day daydreams while gazing at clouds . . .
Daydreams are fun, but being prepared helps me sleep nights! I have noticed that, since we've moved and feel so comfortable in our new home, we are no longer prepping. . . not good!! We absolutely can't allow ourselves to become so comfortable we stop moving forward.
I would like to see us buy our own used RV yet continue living at our current location for 1-2 years. This would allow ample time to upgrade and customize to our heart's content while saving money for our future adventures.
What is your plan B??

De-Clutter~ 500 Things in 14 Days . . . 1359 for Now . . .

623+736=1359
Yes, we have been quite busy!! We are having so much fun with minimalizing .  .  some items are being given away, some go straight into the trash and some are being repurposed. . . . we are still only counting the things we eliminate from our homestead, so this number does not reflect our true efforts.
It is nice to see that, as we eliminate so much, we long to downsize more. . . . this is refreshing in a world as materialistic as ours has become.

Moving and Settling In

Hi! You know that process of moving . . . "pack-it-or-pitch-it-mode" . . . getting everything to the new place in one piece . . . transitioning family schedules to a new location . . .
So, as I gaze at our new kitchen table with favorite items stacked on it, I feel such a sense of peace . . .
       We've done it!
   We're moving!
       Pitching 95+% of everything we own . . .
Taking a Huge leap of faith .  .
Landing gently in the palm of His hands safe, sound And so much better off!!!

De-Clutter~ 500 Things in 14 Days . . .

Hey there!! How are you doing with this challenge? Has it been a struggle or getting easier each day?
For me the sorting has been easy, but finding time and, more difficult, energy to attack random corners of our homestead has been a challenge. I will say that, when I do find I have extra energy to do this, it is a liberating process. I am still repurposing many things, but am also finding plenty to eliminate.
Last night, after work, I gave two (2) hours to laundry, cooking supper and cleaning/de-cluttering~ I eliminated an additional six (6) items!! Not bad for an ADHD caffeine-generated moment, don't you think?!! And, as we have fun learning to live cheaply, I did some of my cleaning by candlelight  . . . . .

379+12+6=397

Now, I did want to tell you that I have completely quit counting the days I de-clutter and, instead, have decided to continue counting how many items we eliminate until we are finished!! We will be initially finished before we move. Then will have to reassess everything we thought we wanted to keep once we are moved onto the boat and see how much/little space we actually have!
As our adventure unfolds, so will our de-cluttering needs . . .

Wife Bible Study ~ Job 2:9

Good morning to you!! Hope you slept well.
Today I am finally getting back to my Bible study on the word "wife"  . . .
I am starting in my NKJV study Bible which offers the explanation that Job's wife thought he was being a religious fanatic vs a man of faith. That seriously leads me to wonder how close their relationship could have been? It also seems odd to me that a man of such strong faith in God would not be studying scripture and worshiping God alongside his wife. Shouldn't a strong marriage be founded on a strong relationship with God as a couple?
There is a lot to think about in this verse!!

Newborn Autism Awareness Dress

As you may have noticed I am going over the top with this next batch of baby dresses! Although some dresses will still be designed on the "less is more" principle, I intend to also have select dresses that are way fancier and way more fun than should be legal!!!
After all, our babies are only little a very short time.

Full-length Newborn Dress

Something a bit more formal  . .
I know it may be difficult to envision now,
But rest assured I will post pictures of each dress during construction and when finished

Exodus 20:4~ a Closer Look

Hi! So glad you're here . . come on in and join me as I try to decipher this verse. I will admit the verse seems pretty straightforward, but my question lies deeper . .
Is He saying no images reflecting any thing
OR
Is He saying only no making carved statues?
I am still feeling He refers to the former as anything we make any image of we tend to begin with"I love that!" and "I simply MUST have it!" In essence we are worshiping these over him . . . Whether it be a photo, dolly or painting. And what about movies?
If you are thinking I've totally gone off the deep end again ask yourself how much more quickly t-shirts with characters on them sell than the same style in a plain color?
Okay, so now for my reference books:
~ Companion Bible~ making a sculpture (hmm . .)
~ NKJV Study Bible ~ " . . . prohibition of fashioning images" . .
~ Bible Reader's Companion ~ this verse not specifically explained :(  however it does state "Consistently violating any commandment indicates we are not living in fellowship with the Lord." So true.

Well, I have looked in three  . .
And yet, let's go back to the verse:

4" Thou shalt not make unto thee
          any graven image,
                     or
           any likeness of any thing
that is in the heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the earth:"

Specifically:
     " . ..Any Graven Image . . "
      " . . Any likeness of any thing . ."

The verse itself gives the answer!!!
