Shoveling Snow
Yes, I enjoy shoveling snow. (Now, let me say, I'm talking about shoveling for fun because I want to, not under duress or at a forced march.)
You know the shoveling I'm talking about. The kind where you grab your winter get up and head outside to challenge nature. The shoveling where it's you against the relentless snow flakes in a challenge to the death. And also, the shoveling where you're free to stop to catch snow flakes on your tongue or marvel at the way your neighborhood looks buried under white fluff.
Yes, I enjoy shoveling. Making sledding ramps at the end of the drive so we can shoot across Iroquois Dr into the creek (seemed like a good idea at the time and sure was fun!!). The shoveling where you stop to tunnel into the deep snow packed into the ditch along the road.
Yes, I enjoy shoveling. The shoveling that includes and precedes fun!!

As I read this it occurs to me that, as long as we are obedient to God as Joseph's father was, God will provide impossible blessings and comfort.
At this time in my life I am clinging to this.
Quilting and Planning Ahead ..
Taking a quilting break . . a time to think and pray. . although we are in an apartment, it doesn't feel permanent . . and, beyond that, our car is no longer bug out ready. . that is so not okay!!
This week we have to seriously clean out the car then reset it up. If there were to be an emergency, or we once again lost our housing, we would have a lot less hassle and stress with a completely prepped car!
On top of that, Matt and I have a kool adventure planned and a ready car will make it so much more fun!!

A quiet day of munching chicken and cleaning our living area . . so far I have the bathroom and adjacent storage area scrubbed .. coffee is brewing (Heavenly aroma!!). . . caffeinated motivation!!

Most of that was at 3:00am when noise (in the radiator pipes??) woke me up. . I am soooo sleepy . . Thinking it's time to quietly munch some of the chicken I baked all night (kept apartment warm-ish) and try to fall back asleep .. today is my only day off and I usually try to sleep in . .

Only 86% of what I needed for the day.
