Quilting and Time with God
Day 235/366
Awake and appreciative that Matt cleaned his area.
Grateful that, even though we are both still sick, some of my overnight post was cleaned and straightened.
I am so grateful to have a day job that helps cover bills and a night job providing a safe place to lay our heads.
What more could we ask for?

As times become more and more tumultuous, this knowledge keeps me going.
As unkind, thoughtless or harsh words are spoken and I begin to seriously stress out I have to breathe and remind myself that God is always with me and that He hears and answers my prayers.
Many days this is what keeps me going.

I have actually gone almost five (5) years without cutting my hair. This has not always been an easy task. It has brought praise, admiration, jealousy and ridicule.
Obedience to my Heavenly Father, who does so much for me every day, has definitely been worth it!!

Be Grateful Challenge ~ August 20, 2016
Waking to a cool morning . . . Morning rain .. giant puddles everywhere . . Matt's sweet smile . . On time to work even though I overslept . . Bottle of rainwater to drink . bleaching germies . . short stroll in the rain (drizzle) . . . quiet . . sinuses draining (?). .. quilting in my car on my break . . offer of help from two (2) kind young men . . Matt being sweet and cooperative .. rain washing the city cleaner . . slowly becoming more and more exhausted . . leaving work early (sick) and not (barely) falling asleep at the wheel . . Nice bath . . Supper . . Bed early ..

How very cool is it to see that sleeping in your car is becoming a pursuit of the upper class. This somehow appears to be a cross between camping and glamping.
And for Matt and I? The ability to sleep in our car in comfort, safety and style is on our prepping list. After all, if you have to be able to happily survive any situation, why better way to start than learning to sleep in your car?
How is it Still Daytime?
Ever have one of those days? You know the kind where some weird germ or virus has taken hold of your system and you just want to sleep??
Today is that day for me. Yesterday, at work, I noticed I was getting so tired and moving slower and slower. I left early, got a bath and crawled into bed.
This morning I slept in (day off) and thought I was feeling better although my chest was tight. Matt was sick and needed spoiling, but I thought I was me again. Now, however, I just want to go to Sleep. Take a long nap, say 20 hours.
But, I have I get up for work in 15 hours, so . . . I'm going to quietly try to stay awake until bedtime . . and try to be kind and patient . .

Almost time to drop off my entries at the county fair. This is the moment when all that's left is to check each item again, attach the entry tags and say a little prayer.

10,000 Step Challenge
I walked 13,111 steps so far today . .
Exhausted, probably from so much up in the air right now. . . I even left work early! After a serious bath I've fallen into bed. My sweet Matt brought me noodles for supper and I lay here reading from "Gospel Principles" to be ready for class tomorrow.
Time to doze off . . .

Isn't it amazing how God always puts the verse we need right in front of us?!! I've been thinking a lot about oppression so this verse, as He always does, is right on time for me!! This morning I had to stop and remind myself that He will bring the truth to light AND that He has already provided refuge. Now it is up to me to follow through on the path He has gown me.

I awoke early as God apparently needed for me to take a short morning walk. Although I was deep asleep (attested to by my early morning inability to walk) it was nice to spend time with Him. And, thanks to this time I have moved forward. He honored my faith that He would somehow provide! He heard my continual fervent prayers.
Simply need faith.
