1611 KJV. Genesis 21:14-20
"[14]And Abraham rose vp earely in the morning, and tooke bread, and a bottle of water, and gaue it vnto Hagar, (putting it on her shoulder,) and the child, and sent her away: and shee departed, and wandered in the wildernesse of Beer-sheba.
[15]And the water was spent in the bottle, and shee cast the child vnder one of the shrubs.
[16]And she went, and sate her downe ouer against him, a good way off, as it were a bow shoot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And shee sate ouer against him, and lift vp her voice, and wept.
[17]And God heard the voice of the lad, and the Angel of God called to Hagar out of heauen, and said vnto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? feare not: for God hath heard the voice of the ladde, where he is.
[18]Arise, lift vp the lad, and hold him in thine hand: for I will make him a great nation.

As the world seems to be spinning out of control and so much seems unjust, unfair and uncertain it is so good to know God always provides for His people exactly what we need right when we need it!!!

Praying His Way
Hi, did you ever set out to pray and fast on behalf of one person and get totally redirected by God towards another? That was me today.
Last night I decided that today I would pray and fast for someone special. I was set. It was planned. Or so I thought!
But, when I got in my car this morning, finished praying for traveling mercies and a quick prayer for that special someone, God quickly got me onto praying for someone else. Yes, I interspersed my intended prayers throughout the day, but God had my focus on someone whom I am quite sure needs prayers much more.
All I can hope and pray is that my prayers were clearly heard and God intervenes.

I walked 13,402 steps so far today!!
That's seriously 5.71 miles . . .
And hours to go before I sleep!!!

I walked 9,349 steps already today . . with the heat index at 92*F I am actually physically ill . . that is rare for me.
Tomorrow will be even hotter . . I'm hearing a heat index of 99-105*F . . . not sure what my plan is for that . . need to pray on it.

Protests in America
Having been born in 1963 I have no memories of protests. I was simply too young and naive during the protests of the 1960's and 1970's to have even noticed. These didn't affect my world. My scant knowledge is what little was taught in school (not much).
That being said, I stopped to look back at America's history as protestors. Wow, do we have a history!! Some if these protests were civil and some not.
I am still wondering though, and maybe you can help me.
Why have protests grown more and more violent and destructive?

"[22]¶ If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away euill from Israel.
[23]¶ If a damosell that is a virgin be betrothed vnto an husband, and a man find her in the citie, and lie with her:
[24]Then yee shall bring them both out vnto the gate of that citie, and yee shall stone them with stones that they die; the damosel, because shee cried not, being in the citie; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbours wife: so thou shalt put away euill from among you.
[25]¶ But if a man find a betrothed damosel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her, shall die.
[26]But vnto the damosel thou shalt doe nothing, there is in the damosel no sinne worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, euen so is this matter.
[27]For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damosel cried, and there was none to saue her.
[28]¶ If a man finde a damosel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found:
[29]Then the man that lay with her, shall giue vnto the damosels father fifty shekels of siluer, and she shalbe his wife, because he hath humbled her: he may not put her away all his dayes.
[30]¶ A man shall not take his fathers wife, nor discouer his fathers skirt."
Tonight, at Bible class, I found out that, by rights I should've been stoned to death years ago. All those years of not following His rules really should have caused my death. That's a sobering thought. . .
Yes, I am so very grateful I have a forgiving God!!

Pokémon Go at the Old Joliet Prison!
This location has both a pokestop and a gym so we just had to stop by. It was fun to watch Matt battle for control of this gym and to listen to the banter as the boys on the opposing team dealt with the inevitable outcome . . .
