Peace and Blessings to All!

As our day winds down to baths and bedtime we wish you peace and blessings and pray that you will pray for one (1) neighbor tonight.
Which one needs your prayers the most this very minute?

Knitting~ Chatting~ Re-assessing

A bit of down time before bed...
Thinking about where we've been...
And wondering about where we're headed...
Listening to Matt fight monsters on 3DS...
Glad our family is the way we are...
Grateful for all He's given us...
Looking to what will be best for both of our futures... ... .. ....

Pray for Peace

As night falls on our homestead and the sounds of all the night critters chorus us to sleep our candle for peace burns softly as a gentle reminder to pray for peace.
Will you please pray too?!

Matthew 2:15-23

Tonight my choise of verses was simply by opening my Bible and reading where ever it opens.
I find this interesting tonight as this is the same place it opened to last time I chose this way!
Anyways, the message I received is to not worry as the one who caused my family danger is gone.we can go where we want and have the life we need without worry!
Hmmmm...

1000 Marble Challenge~ Week 30

Hi! Another week has gone by all too quickly here on the homestead. This week we had an interesting IEP meeting and have decided to start our own business~ well, trying a new angle on a small home business!
We've become a lot closer as a family and see eachother more clearly.
All this said, it was no surprise when Matt popped another marble into the blue vase as a well used week!

Knitting and Planning My Future!

As I sit here knitting I am thinking about several things~ in approximately seven (7) years I should be starting menopause 'fun' and what do I want the experience to be like for me {I will be blogging this}, what small busineeses can Matt and I get started now that will actually help us, where do I really want to live?
Yes, all questions about our future and steps to take now to ensure it's a happy and solid future. Also, a friend at work gave me another copy of AARP magazine (I so have to join that!!) and the articles gave me lots of good food for thought!
And so, as my thumbs become to numb to text successfully to my blog, I must go for now...
{Stupid Arthritis!!}

When Family Helps One Another

I must say that having a teen who enjoys helping at home is a joy.
Matt voluntarily takes out trash most days...
he tells me to sit, knit and reat while he cooks dinner (my own personal chef!)...
he hauls and stacks wood...
mows, trims and rakes the yard...
and he's just generally a really truly enjoyable guy to hang out with!! His singing and dancing along with movie impressions during chores really makes makes chore time a breeze!!!

Knitting~ Praying~ Thinking

As I sit here knitting so I can relax and fall asleep...
and wondering how life can seem to be getting so much better...
and yet so twisted...
and feeling thankful for the mp3 player someone gave me out of the blue today (how sweet was that??)...
and those cool magazines someone gave me for Matt (a cool guy needs cool magazines!)...
and I feel so blessed...
and yet...
there is that nagging feeling that something is lurking...
and the realization that doing what is my responsibility can lead to hard feelings...
and yet...
there is the euphoria of bills paid (some early! WooHoo!!)...
and knowing we have a good bit of firewood stacked for 2015...
and the house is getting more organized...
and Matt's educational needs are being addressed...
and my friend who's chosen to be MIA for now needs to know she's still loved even if she's a pita sometimes...
so, as we settle in for the night, I leave it all in His capable hands...
all is well in His care.

Hedge Against 2015 Heating Costs!

I cannot tell you how good it feels to walk past the growing wood piles out back and know we'll be ready for the cold and snow that's inevitable to return.
So comforting...
So so comforting!
