Home with a Sinus Infection

I sit on my bed amid skeins of yarn, the hat I'm knitting and a bag of used tissues and I'm grateful for a day of resting at home and I'm missing her blog~ the one the ministers to my heart with it's music and it's message... and I'm longing for Bible study tonight... and I'm learning patience and consistency with a young boy. and I marvel at all You have for me and at all You've removed from me and I am grateful that You listen that You teach that you hold me close that You know everything about me, yet You still love me dearly and have a use for me in Your kingdom.

Planting Preps/ Confessing and Repenting

Morning! Welcome back!!! Come on around back. I'd like to show you what I'm working on. This is the area behind my old shed along the alley fence. Last summer it was a beautiful pokeweed patch. Well, beautiful to me as I harvested quite a few pokeberries from it! The year before that it was the site of my compost pile, so the soil is ultra rich. This year I have a new plan for it, so I began to clear it. All the dried pokeweed was broken up and put on a tinder/ kindling pile. The old clothing pole (umbrella style) and other old pipes was taken to the curb by Matt so a scavenger could take it. Now I have an almost clean slate to work on. After I throw away the old fly trap and tarp the compost can be spread and my project may begin! Isn't this like confession? Once we clean out our souls, we can start over with a clean slate? A whole new person~ living our life for Christ!

Wanting What I Want

Today I am fussing

And wanting what I want

Not His way, but mine

Not to come under, but to lead

Today I'm wanting to be a mommy

To own a cavern

And a hobby farm

And have only my family to tend

My husband and children to care for...

And He is prodding me...

"Daughter, stop fussing...

You know I need you

and over here...

There are tears to dry

Hugs to give

And stories to hear~

From those who are forgotten"

And so,

I must quit my fussing

He needs me...

A Door Peeks Open

Thinking and working and wondering and ...

sitting in awe of His power and grandeur...

a beautiful day...

 full of musings...  

and revelations...

watching one door slowly close...

 and lock securely just as I think it will finally fully open...

and another door peeks open a smidge...

God beckons...

come here, daughter...

I am here and I see...

I will work it all for good...

trust and watch what I do with the pieces...

I poke my head inside...

and see all He has for me...

beautiful things...

joy...

love...

inner peace...

tranquility...

service to others...

service to Him...

and that He has for me...

someone who will see that I am for him and want me and want to serve Him together...

the healing is good...

I am stronger now...

and I know I am loved.
