Day 318/ 365

Last check on the fire before bed. Wanting to keep house toasty, yet sleep through the night. Still, I know full well that I'll need to check the fire every couple hours once winter really kicks in. And I can see we are pitifully low on firewood here. That will have to be rectified if I'm going to keep the gas bill low. Already I've turned up the heat a few times due to being cold from stress and either not having time or energy to get a fire properly burning. That's simply human, but financially unacceptable and must not be repeated. Better to not create a gas bill I can't afford to pay!
