Bedtime on the Homestead!?

Well folks, as is usual of late, we are still up after bedtime. Tonight, however, we are much closer to bedtime than we've been in a week!! I'm so glad as I really want us back on schedule and getting sufficient sleep.
Tonight we watched Sharkie learn the joys of a hamster ball then find fresh live superworms in his bedding (a fresh, live meal to hunt and eat alive!). Then we set Bob up with larger shells to chose from and a new variety of food! We've done hot baths for Matt and I, dinner, bill paying, driveway shoveling, house cleaning, trash hauled out to the curb and general goofy mother-son comraderie!
Homesteading can be a lot of work~ don't even attempt to pull us away at planting or harvest time! Always remember we'll pull the car over any time we spot firewood at the curb or a public tree full of fruit or nuts so allow extra time and bring old sneakers when you hang with us!! Still in all, I wouldn't trade our life, with all it's hardships and sacrifices, for any yuppy life!!
