Day 49/ 365

We have a snowy homestead this morning. Those footprints are actually where Matt walked knee deep in snow to retrieve an icicle!
I'm truly hoping this all melts slowly so all the moisture stays on our homestead vs running off due to a fast thaw.
Spring planting season should be just around the corner.
Should be...
However, I received a newsfeed stating the jet stream has changed and winters will be longer, harsher and unpredictable! At this point, IMHO, we all need to begin practicing indoor container vegetable gardening. If the jet stream is all over the place, bringing sporadic bouts of freezing weather, it may very well become virtually impossible to grow our food outdoors.
Imagine the food shortages extremely shortened/ nonexistenet growing seasons could bring!
Are you ready? We aren't. Plain and simple. We just aren't. I tried my hand at indoor container vegetable gardening a years ago. A few green bean plants in a pot yielded a handfull of green beans.
Time to prepare...
