Slowly Using Up the Dirt Pile

This is the dirt that was excavated from my property when city water was put in. The contractors tried to take it, like they did with everyone else's, but I stopped them as my lot has holes to fill. The theory the contractors had was that they would take the dirt (the trench they dug was filled with gravel) and I could buy more dirt to replace it! A 'bit' convoluted, wouldn't you say?!?! Tonight Matt dug and hauled dirt to fill the little gully along the retaining wall we replaced. Now, before tonight's rain starts, we have to shovel up all the loose dirt... or we'll have a mud slick for a driveway tomorrow!!!
