What makes a person 'worth loving'? Is it their income? Their clothing? How saved they appear to be? Is it what we think they can/ will do for us?
Would you hug a homeless person? What about someone who isn't homeless, but just too poor to bathe daily? What about the person coming out of the liquor store with the brown bag (you know what I mean)? What about the girl scantily dressed? Or the boy whose clothes, although clean, are outdated? Or the person who does drugs?
And, what about those you allow close enough to you to really see how your relationship with Christ affects your walk? Are those the only people you want to be seen in public with? Are you more concerned about your relationships with people or how that relationship appears to others?
I know we are supposed to make our closest network of friends those who are in the body of Christ,
But,
we are also supposed to be a witness to those who are unsaved.
And,
if we only associate with the Christians, aren't we neglecting those who need Him most? How do we show His love and how it makes our lives better if we avoid the ones whose lives are of a questionable nature?
If all those who are saved avoid all who are not,
Who will lead them to Christ?!?!
What if your home was open to all who
Need Him?
What if there was always a plate set at your table for a stranger?
What if your family just loved everyone~ Regardless?
What about inviting that 'questionable' friend over for dinner? That's a time of thankfulness and sharing. A time of chatting, listening, praying... a time for that friend to see how He affects you and your family.
