Trusting God

Sometimes trusting God is all about changing our own attitude. It's not about what we want, but about what He knows is best for us~
Even if what He's asking looks crazy!
It's not about 'how will this person fit into our lives', but 'how can I change to fit into his'?
Trusting God is about growing up~
really growing up~
not just a show we put on around others,
but who we are when we're alone,
what our thought-life is like.
It's about knowing His will is to better us
And for us to serve others.
Many times I have seen the serving of others and bettering of me has meant me going into what others saw as a huge down-grade in my life. To them I appeared to have gone from having so much to poverty and risk.
In their unknowing eyes I had given up everything and gotten nothing in return. Sadly they were unable to see the immense spiritual growth He gave me from these changes. They totally missed the Christian fellowship I gained. They were unable to understand the growth that comes when steel sharpens steel,as Christian friends rub each other the wrong way causing each to change and grow in Him.
And so,
what He is asking of me right now sounds completely crazy! I cannot expect anyone to understand as I am only barely beginning to understand myself. There are times He just tells me where He's sending me and why~ this is not one of those times. He has shown me bits and pieces. What I need to keep me working toward what He wants for me.
This letting go is beautiful!
It is the release of responsibility for making decisions about where I'm heading. He is slowly leading me to a truly beautiful place. Not a place of huge financial riches, but a place of immense opportunities to serve Him!
Making His changes in my life~
And being willing to be
on my knees,
face in the dirt,
humbled before Him.
