Box City of Hope

This is where Matt and I slept for MorningStar Mission's Box City of Hope! We enjoyed the scavenger hunt, food, praise & worship and movie. It was fun, fun, fun!
Then...
We crawled into our little box-house. It was made of two dresser boxes taped together so it was short and wide.
We had comforters and pillows. I spread a tarp over us inside the box to hold in heat, but I, apparently, hog blankets, so Matt was cold.
The box collapsed as it was damp out. Try sleeping on your back with a damp cardboard box on your face!
Now, keep your legs folded up to keep warm (and because your box isn't long enough). Ugh! Were we ever cramped up in the morning!
Bring your whole family~ they'll all get something out of it. The Box City will give you a new perspective on homelessness. It will absolutely take your (and your family's) awareness and desire to help to new levels!
Please consider joining us next September!
