Trying Something New

Hey there . . 

I wanted to let you know where I am and what's up right now ..  

I'm not sure why but I've had an exceedingly huge drop-off in blog traffic to all my blogs on blogger recently. 

So . .

 I am copying all the posts to my Patreon blog ..  

All that has been free (no cost) here will continue to be free there. 

I've been updating that site and adding a lot of content . .

Yes, I took Matt and three (3) of his friends to Mansfield, OH for a self-guided tour of the reformatory and we had a blast!! The drive each way was 'interesting' and wandering through the old reformatory was so kool. I will be posting a photo daily either on this blog or at www.patreon.com/karenjoyce (back and forth between). Some photos will available to the public and some will only be for select tiers of patrons. Please keep an eye between both blogs so you don't miss out . . I have so many photos to post!!

A Sense of Community

Sometimes a small fire can bring people closer . . huddling close, whether to toast marshmallows or chase off mosquitoes with the smoke, a fire is fun . . it brings a sense of adventure . . an opportunity to tell tall tales and ghost stories . .

Who Did It?

Starting over  . . a new beginning . . that's where I am again . . like a bizarre broken record . . So much is changing again . . things I counted on weren't as purported ..  people disappointed ..  and sometimes ya just need a complete change of scenery! I am so tired of lies and manipulation . . wanting peace and quiet . . solitude deep in the woods sometimes sounds so so good I'd happily wander off  . . but then there is this sweet boy/man/critter who calls me Mom . . yeah, he keeps me grounded in a totally kool Autism way that makes wading through the neverending crap seem plausible . . so, what am I talking about? You? Them? If ya feel guilty change your behavior ..  beyond that . . too much up in the air . . too many odd unnecessary comments . . some things here are quite stable and others are so fluid water is jealous!!

Spiral Hope Quilt is Finished!!

I can't believe I finally finished this quilt! I started it several years ago for someone special to me and I had a whole plan for it's creation. Something happened, as things just seem to, so I shelved it. Last year I took it back out with a new plan. Now countless hours, tears and prayers later, it is finished.

Next stop? 

The county Fair to see if I can win a ribbon . .

Although I've loved posting my #whatif prompts, I am finding I have no one utilizing these from this blog. As I'm writing these to inspire other writers, I have been pondering what to do . .

Somehow revamp it? 
Some kind of incentives? 
Nothing seemed to sound right ..  then I saw a post about a woman who has her prompts on a paid tier on Patreon!! And she's doing well there!!! 
Sweet . . a possibility . .

Diced steak, summer squash and green peppers slowly browned in garlic-infused honey.

Then add eggs, mix thoroughly. 

Top with your favorite cheese. 

When it's time to flip, turn off the heat so it stays moist as it finishes cooking.
