Prioritizing Matt
Have you ever noticed how there are times when you take a breath and step back only to see that there are an awful lot of people who simply only want a piece of you?
After all Matt and I have been through over the last year, I am seriously making him even more of a major priority.
I am noticing that this decision is making some people twitch and others go into major seizures.
While these immature reactions to me devoting more quality time to my autistic son can become quite entertaining (if one has time, energy and inclination to watch) I find it all tiring.
With working 48 hours a week all my 'down time' is Matt's.
It's time to encourage . .
snuggle . .
listen . .
check schoolwork . .
My priority is my son.
Those who can't handle that need to grow up and get over themselves.

Make Your Home a Haven Challenge ~ Day 7
Yes, last night was the first time in a long time I've lit a candle.
On November 7th we turned in the keys to the homestead as part of deeding it back to the bank. From then until the 12th we were homeless. With learning the ropes of that lifestyle candles were an extravagance.
Now that we are settled into a quaint studio apartment we are getting back to our normal lives and future plans.

Post-apocalyptic Preps?
Hey there! I must admit it was not my intention to wear this mask. I have a difficult time breathing through masks so avoided this as long as I could. But today, at the kind insistence of my supervisor, I am wearing it.
I work with a lot of strong chemicals which she did not want me breathing in. I really balked as I've had a bad experience with face masks (1960's style) as well as CPAP machines and anything that makes me feel trapped. I honestly didn't think this was going to work.
As you can see in the picture my glasses were quiet fogged making detailed cleaning impossible . . but I've adjusted the mask to not fog my glasses. I am still feeling like I'm not getting enough oxygen and am not sure that will change. But . . I can say, after removing the mask to sneeze, it is seriously keeping me from breathing all the chemicals.
At this point I am also seeing this as a training module. I will be able to handle wearing these long-term when the need arises.
What prepping hurdle are you working to overcome?
My Hope Quilt Top
This week we are applying for an autism service dog for Matt. The agency we are planning to use charges $12,500.00 which is due upon receiving the dog (2 years from date approved). As this is more than half my yearly gross income we will be doing a lot of fundraising including raffling my handcrafted creations!
Stay tuned for more details . . .

Genesis 46:3
"1611 KJV. Genesis 46
[3]And he said, I am God, the God of thy father, feare not to goe downe into Egypt: for I will there make of thee a great nation."
It is so important to simply obey God's calling on our lives. Although it may seem like what's being asked of us is impossible, we need to remember that He is at the wheel.
