Pantry Surprise Trick . .

Believe it or not we have found that adding Kitchens of India White Pumpkin and Milk Pudding, petha halwa, to our meat dishes to seriously enhance our diet!! This has been a great way to sneak in vegetables and add protein and calcium while also creating a delicious sauce.
Honestly we have yet to try it the way the package suggests but as a pudding desert it would probably be wonderful.
I am thinking this may also be wonderful for making pumpkin pies.
It is:
Vegetarian
100% natural
Kosher

Have you tried this product?
Any recipe suggestions? D

1611 KJV. Genesis 7
["2]Of euery cleane beast thou shalt take to thee by seuens, the male and his female: and of beastes that are not cleane, by two, the male and his female."

Why did I not see this before?? Let me pull out my KJV Companion Bible . . . okay, same passage . . I just never noticed before that this is not what is ordinarily taught. My Companion Bible says the sevens (7's) were to be clean animals, for offerings, and the twos (2's) were to be unclean, for reproducing. That makes sense as one would need enough clean animals to last until more were bred.
Very cool!
I learned something new again today . . .

I walked 18,481 steps so far this week . .
Matt and I heard people talking where no one should have been so we threw on shoes and took a quick ramble south down the lane . . .

1611 KJV. Genesis 7:1-24
"[1]And the LORD saide vnto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the Arke: for thee haue I seene righteous before me, in this generation.
[2]Of euery cleane beast thou shalt take to thee by seuens, the male and his female: and of beastes that are not cleane, by two, the male and his female.
[3]Of fowles also of the aire, by seuens, the male & the female; to keepe seed aliue vpon the face of all the earth.
[4]For yet seuen dayes, and I will cause it to raine vpon the earth, fortie dayes, and forty nights: and euery liuing substance that I haue made, will I destroy, frō off the face of the earth.
[5]And Noah did according vnto all that the LORD commanded him.
[6]And Noah was sixe hundred yeeres old, when the flood of waters was vpon the earth.
[7]¶ And Noah went in, and his sonnes, and his wife, and his sonnes wiues with him, into the Arke, because of the waters of the Flood.
[8]Of cleane beasts, & of beasts that are not cleane, & of fowles, and of euery thing that creepeth vpon the earth,
[9]There went in two and two vnto Noah into the Arke, the male & the female, as God had commanded Noah.
[10]And it came to passe after seuen dayes, that the waters of the Flood were vpon the earth.
[11]¶ In the sixe hundredth yeere of Noahs life, in the second moneth, the seuenteenth day of the moneth, the same day, were al the fountaines of the great deepe broken vp, and the windowes of heauen were opened.
[12]And the raine was vpon the earth, fortie dayes, and fortie nights.
[13]In the selfe same day entred Noah, and Sem, and Ham, and Iapheth, the sonnes of Noah, and Noahs wife, and the three wiues of his sonnes with them, into the Arke,
[14]They, and euery beast after his kinde, & all the cattell after their kinde: and euery creeping thing that creepeth vpon the earth after his kinde, and euery foule after his kinde, euery birde of euery sort.
[15]And they went in vnto Noah into the Arke, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
[16]And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commaunded him: and the LORD shut him in.
[17]And the Flood was fortie dayes vpon the earth, and the waters increased, and bare vp the Arke, and it was lift vp aboue the earth.
[18]And the waters preuailed, and were encreased greatly vpon the earth: and the Arke went vpon the face of the waters.
[19]And the waters preuailed exceedingly vpon the earth, and all the high hils, that were vnder the whole heauen, were couered.
[20]Fifteene cubits vpward, did the waters preuaile; and the mountaines were couered.
[21]And all flesh died, that mooued vpon the earth, both of fowle, & of cattell, and of beast, and of euery creeping thing that creepeth vpon the earth, and euery man.
[22]All in whose nosethrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
[23]And euery liuing substance was destroyed, which was vpon the face of the ground, both man and cattell, and the creeping things, and the foule of the heauen; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah onely remained aliue, and they that were with him in the Arke.
[24]And the waters preuailed vpon the earth, an hundred and fifty dayes."

1611 KJV Bible

1611 KJV. Genesis 6:1-7
"[1]And it came to passe, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were borne vnto them:
[2]That the sonnes of God saw the daughters of men, that they were faire, and they took them wiues, of all which they chose.
[3]And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not alwayes striue with man; for that hee also is flesh: yet his dayes shalbe an hundred and twenty yeeres.
[4]There were Giants in the earth in those daies: and also after that, when the sonnes of God came in vnto the daughters of men, & they bare children to them; the same became mightie men, which were of old, men of renowme.
[5]¶ And God saw, that the wickednes of man was great in the earth, and that euery imagination of the thoughts of his heart was onely euill continually.
[6]And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieued him at his heart.
[7]And the LORD said, I will destroy man, whom I haue created, from the face of the earth: both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the foules of the aire: for it repenteth me that I haue made them."

This section of Genesis, although generally overlooked in most churches, is quite interesting. The angels "took" the daughters. That does not imply the consent of these women.
For as in:
1611 KJV. 1 Corinthians 11
"[10]For this cause ought the woman to haue power on her head, because of the Angels."
Because the angels are so tempted by the beauty of the woman's hair, she must cover it. If we tempt the angels we may also be taken. The head covering commanded is to protect us, not keep us in subjugation!!
Does your church teach head covering for women? Do they teach based on these verses?
         Or . . .
On women remembering to keep to their place?

NYTimes.com: "Sadiq Khan, New London Mayor, Bans Ads Promoting Unhealthy Body Image"

From The New York Times:

Sadiq Khan, New London Mayor, Bans Ads Promoting Unhealthy Body Image

Mr. Khan said he wanted to send a “clear message” to the advertising industry with the new guidelines, which will take effect next month.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/15/world/europe/london-bans-ads-with-unrealistic-body-images.html?mwrsm=Email

As a female I would like to thank Mr. Khan.
I have a real female body (plus the effects of pregnancies). I'm okay with me as I am. . the way all females should feel. The plastic surgery starvation bodies of models, besides being grossly underweight and muscularly masculine, create a false image for all females to compete with.
Beyond being properly and decently clothed, models need to reflect the body types of normal healthy people!!

Day 165/366

Putting a large tent back into it's original bag can be quite a chore!!

Bug Out Prepping

I've been thinking a lot lately about bugging out. Yes, we really have almost 100% bugged out already, but . . . we are still within an hour's drive of Chicago and sitting between three (3) prisons (one being Statesville Maximum Security) making us smack dab in the middle of a hot zone!
       Not good.
So we have begun the process of planning for a real, more intense bug out.  . . for the time when it is necessary for us to head deep into the woods to survive this (and the next, if Hillary wins) regime as well as the coming (already well under way) economic collapse of America.
Initially we will be relying heavily on our tents so have begun to pack these up properly. We will also pack up any extra tent poles, lines and stakes (can one ever have a tent tied too securely??).
The tent has been put up, aired out and checked for holes. Note that, even through this dense foliage, it's bright orange is visible. We will have to build a sweat lodge/hobbit house out of branches over it. Then we will cover this to camouflage.
Are you ready to bug out this far?
Tent checked and packed neatly? Family know how to set up tent in the dark? Has this been practiced?
We still don't have a solid bug out destination, but I am watching the earth changes and have several areas in mind.
       What about you?

1611 KJV Bible

"1611 KJV. Genesis 2
[23]And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shalbe called woman, because shee was taken out of man."

And so, in, "bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh", even Adam saw that marriage is a lifetime commitment . . .

My sweet Matt fixed my phone and downloaded the 1611 KJV Bible which includes the apocryphal.
I now have a full Bible at my fingertips wherever I am.
A bit of comfort at a glance.
My son is a true blessing!

Does your church use the apocryphal?
Does your autistic child thrive on electronics?

Pondering . . .

* how can someone act like a friend until around others then burn you for fun/self advancement?

~ could managing/owning a small campground be considered low stress semiretirement?

• when furniture rental companies, like Rent a Center (https://www.rentacenter.com), picks up furniture from a customer, what is done to prevent taking bedbugs back to the shop/ to the next customer?

° why are so many not using complete Bible, including apocryphal???

• how can less possibly be so peaceful? How come no one told us about this?

° why do people get so aggravated when someone is quiet and humble in the face of their anger?

~ as sinkholes become, more and more, a widespread problem, why is the government not testing for where these are and notifying the public??

* why am I chubby when I'm single/with the wrong guy, but lose weight naturally/automatically when I'm with a guy who treats me right?

Matt Discovered Tulip Trees . . !

Autism parenting is awe inspiring. It's those little things that bring me back and remind me who Matt is, this amazing guy who hangs out with me and keeps me totally grounded while helping me to look at everything differently.
This last week I introduced him to Tulip Trees, my favorite tree since fourth grade (yeah, that long). We were out walking looking for natural foods for Nicholas, his hamster, when I picked a few tulip tree blossoms for Matt to smell and Nicholas to munch or use as softly scented bedding (hamsters have rights/needs too!!). Matt fell in love with that tree, although I was too preoccupied with foraging and my trivial work/life/bill problems to truly notice.
Then, yesterday, as we drove slowly from our homestead, I noticed Matt counting aloud vs participating in what I thought was a shared conversation (autism has a better world than what I can see through my ordinary eyes). When I asked what he was counting he explained, "there are seven tulip trees on the trail" (new word for the road to our homestead?). "There are three on this side and four over there. Those are my favorite trees."
He had mentioned, "beautiful tree", the other day in reference to a very tall tulip tree growing over the water and I'd been grateful he also appreciated these beauties, but not thought much more about it. Yesterday he gave me another treasured peek into Matthewland, a place where wonders and insights abound. I am always grateful to the point of tears to be allowed even a small time in Matthewland.
What snippets of Autismland  have you been allowed to enjoy?

My Pedometer App and Remembering to take My Vitamin D3

I walked 9,700 steps today!!
Finally tonight I remembered to pick up more vitamin D3 . . but I didn't take any until after I got home and settled on my sofa to quilt.
Although it didn't seem like it at the time, I appear to have done quite a bit of walking at work .  . I was busy today and running all over trying to get many things accomplished at once!!
Then, once I ran to pick up Matt's prescription, he and I did a serious perimeter check at home before washing up and settling in for the night.
Once I'm back on my vitamin D3 (8000 EU/day) for a few weeks the pain (can't describe how badly I hurt) will subside (could that be why I'm near/in tears so often lately?). At that point I will go back to being my amazingly hyper self and hopefully get back to my much needed 10,000+ steps/day!!!
Anyone else out there on vitamin D3 therapy?
Anyone trying to get in 10,000+ steps/day?
