Happy Sunday! Hoping yours is truly blessed.
How was your night? Ours was so peaceful. Before I even got comfy after family prayers Matt was snoring softly all rolled up like a burrito in his comforter and blanket! Ah, the blessings of camping out back~ a good night's sleep.
As I came back into the house I realized why we sleep so much better out there~ this house is just way too disorganized! This has been brought more to my attention this year because 'organize' is my word for the year.
So, I started coffee (coffee must be said with deranged grin) and washed a sink full of dishes. Then I sprayed out the sink and strainer with vinegar. I'll let it soak until after church and assorted errands are finished. We shall see how this works!
Don't forget~ 1) come to church, God's expecting you; 2) free books at Pilcher Park Nature Center today; 3) adults can fish without a license in Illinois today....
Have a blessed day in Him!!!
As I wait for my nails to dry as Matt painted them for me, I realize how truly lucky I am to have this son who spoils me so much!
What other mom gets this spoiling?! Okay, okay, so he did it so I would have to dry while he plays 3DS, but still I'm very spoiled... and blessed!!!
Sometimes it really is a lot..
Loads of laundry..
That never ends...
And dishes...
And the boy...
Suddenly a bit too big for his britches...
And realizing that...
It's finally possible to not care...
Who doesn't call/text/speak anymore...
And still be...
Oh...
So....
Blessed!
Well, I realized I have an over-abundance of potatoes and decided to cut up one into the pan. Then I sprinkled on sazon and adobo for flavor!
We are playing The Great Depression Game (I'll explain later), so are using items on hand for our meals.
Maybe the city of Joliet should listen to the majority of citizens instead of just the 'big mouths'! There is just something about sitting out back watching your own chickens chase bugs! And don't get me started on the lessons taught to local youth on flock care and responsibility!!!
